Im currently 16 years old playing football at my highschool. Im a sophmore and i have been hurt with a lower back injury for 4 months now, but have finally recovered fully and im starting to get back into shape. Im 6'1 185 and play other sports such as MMA and baseball. My dad played Division 1 football in college at Kansas State University full ride and has high excpectations. He was extremely strong being 2nd in the state of florida his senior year in weightlifting and im not nearly that strong right now as a sophmore. I dont know if i should just give up and focus on school or should keep working hard and maybe eventually i will have a big muscle gain and be as good as him. I know strength is not all about football, but it would be nice to know that i have the same potential as him. Im not sure what to do.
